Me, me, me!!!!

Hello lovelies! If you are reading this and you are new to my site, WELCOME! And congratulations on having very good taste in websites. Truly, you must be a very clever and intelligent person. And quite good looking too. I can just tell. (Nice shoes!)

If you are here from my old site, HELLO!!! Thanks for navigating the ol’ internet waters to find my new home. I promise this is a fun, cool place to hang, and if you keep coming back I will totally be your friend and *heart* you forever. Promise. Cause I am cool like that. Well, maybe I am cool mostly in my head. My kids roll their eyes a lot when I talk and they run in fear when I show my mad dance skilz and don’t even get me STARTED on my awesome singing voice. No one can belt out Livin’ On a Prayer like me. Srsly. So yeah, maybe I am just mostly cool in my head, but that TOTALLY COUNTS.

I draw and paint. Mostly dogs, but not always.

I am a graphic designer by day and an artist by night. I make coloring books, craft kits, and am currently working on a series of children’s books. I hope one day to make my living completely on my children’s books and art. This website is about that journey. The beginning of this journey started here at abeytacreative.com. But in a few months, that blog and website will be gone forever. So if you are new and wanna know how I got here, go read that now. Be warned; it is 5 years long.

So to clear a few things up: I made a book with Leisure Arts Publishing called Pop Pooch Portraits. On that, I am listed as Michelle Abeyta.

I made four coloring books with Idea Builders, Inc. On those, I am listed as Michelle Nelson. (You can totally buy them here.)

And just to completely confuse everyone I went and got hitched up again! So now my name is Michelle Nelson-Schmidt. And I have NO idea what will go on my new books that are coming out in Fall 2011. Yup! I got a deal for two of my books! Dogs, Dogs!and Cats, Cats! with Kane Miller Publishing? Can you believe it?? Me neither! If I am dreaming do NOT wake me up!!
